PASTORAL CARE

This is at the heart of all our ministries. We have a team of dedicated visitors who attend to the pastoral needs of our community, both at church and by regular home visits and at retirement & aged-care facilities. Contact the Vicar

 

KIDS' CHURCH

On the first Sunday of each month during school terms, at 11.15am. We begin with refreshments in Trinity Hall at 11am - each time we meet we have a theme and our activities - songs, story, prayers and craft - relate to that theme. All are welcome.

MOTHERS' UNION

Mothers Union is an Anglican Organisation founded in England in 1876, and is now worldwide. It is open to all. Meetings start with prayers, followed by a general meeting, a guest speaker and fellowship.

MEN'S BREAKFASTS

This is an opportunity for the men of the parish to meet over breakfast on a Saturday morning and hear a speaker. Breakfast commences at 8.00 am and is held in Carter Hall or at a local café.

HOLY TRINITY CHOIR

Led by our Director of Music, Richard Hoy the choir sings each Sunday at our 9.30am service, at Choral Evensong at 5pm on the first Sunday of each month, and on the other occasions special occasions. The choir is open to all singers and meets in the church on Thursday evenings at 7.30 - 9.30 pm.

Our study groups meet twice a month on Wednesday mornings at 11 am, and that evening in the Vicarage at 7.30 pm.

Activities

MONTHLY MARKET

At our monthly community market, Treasures & Tastes @ Trinity, we engage with visitors from the local community and beyond. Home-made wares, food, wine and 'Treasures' tearoom for Devonshire tea or a cappuccino or our sausage sizzle.

SPRING FAIR

Annually on the Friday night and Saturday morning following the Melbourne Cup we have our renown Spring Fair with treasures old and new, jams, flowers, plants, books, CDs, clothing and plenty of food.

MISSION

Various mission-shaped activities are held both within and outside the parish and are undertaken throughout the year, including a weekly bread & food program supporting the work of the Community Centre of St Mark's Fitzroy.

MISSION MONTH

August is our mission-focused month where particular goals are set to focus our attention on learning about and raising money for particular needs. In 2012, our focus was Aboriginal issues and in 2013 we will be looking at theological education and the students at Trinity College Theological School.
